DUSK

I believe in
the origin of
lavender smoke
that rises in
the twilight,
the rich blue velvet
of an evening
when no one speaks
the unutterable need
that creeps in uninvited
and consumes you
as the terrified
moon rises
above a garden
that is now
too dark
for blooming
